Mission of Hope Meals
The congregation prepares and serves meals the third Thursday of each month at the Mission of Hope. Signup sheets are often posted to ask members if they would be willing to donate items, prepare and/or serve the meal at Mission of Hope. The 2012 Meal Schedule isas follows:
- January 19: Senior Choie
- February 16: Council
- March 15: Congregation
- April 19: Congregation
- May 17: All Committees
- June 21: Congregation
- July 19: Congregation
- August 16: Youth
- September 20: Council
- October 18: Congregation
- November 15: Choir
- December 20: Congregation
Waypoint/Madge Phillips Collection Box
The Waypoint/Madge Phillips Collection Box is available to collect personal items for the women and children at Waypoint/Madge Phillips. You can contribute hotel soaps, shampoos and conditioners, so when you go on vacation and you will not be using these items yourself, please save them for our box. If you are able and would like to, you can also buy items to donate. Please watch for the list of their needs. No clothing or furniture can be collected at this time. If you have any questions please contact any Outreach Committee member. School Supplies
At the end of July and the first part of August, we collect school supplies for a couple of agencies that hand out supplies to those in need. Watch for the totes to be put out marked - "School Supplies Donations," along with more information in the July newsletter.
Christmas Family Project
The church adopts multiple familes each November and collects generous donations from members to provide much-needed clothing, toys and household supplies. Church members deliver these always-appreciated Christmas presents. |
